21st & Kedzie

lyrics

We drove through fields of snow, reminding us that we're not home, we never felt the cold, because we had somewhere to go, we slept on wooden floors, of factories that now were torn, cautioned by winter's storm, we had the drive to keep us warm.

I guess we'll never learn.

We never thought once we were wrong, we kept driving all night long, we left the deaf for dead, and felt alive with every song, together we are far too strong, and if we die we die alone, we thought that every city's lights would guide us home.

With every mile, we build it up, until the day, we have enough, the moving parts, the metal gears, we'll have no home for many years.
